Bipartisan Group of Governors Push for Strong F-35..

A coalition of 15 bipartisan governors has publicly urged Congress to fully fund the Pentagon’s request for 85 additional F-35s. Their petition underscores the strategic importance of the F-35 program, noting that many of the states they represent host critical production facilities and supply chain partners.

The governors insist that maintaining a robust production rate is essential to meet warfighter needs and keep the F-35 at the core of U.S. and allied airpower. They also advocated for multiyear procurement, which would lock in cost saving efficiencies and provide a clear, long term demand signal for suppliers and the industry.
