By leveraging Lockheed Martin’s expertise in successful cruise missile productions, LRASM brings low-risk and long-term, flexible capabilities to the warfighters’ anti-surface warfare environment that no other inventory weapon provides.
In support of the U.S. Navy’s ‘Distributed Lethality’ concept, Lockheed Martin has invested in the continued design and development of LRASM’s next-generation anti-surface warfare capabilities to include surface-launched variants.
In addition to LRASM’s proven vertical launch system (VLS) variant, Lockheed Martin has invested in the design of a Topside (or deck-mounted) launcher configuration for integration on multiple surface ships, as well as a mobile-launcher variant, providing forward based ground forces an anti-surface weapon capability.
